Autumn Leaves is one of the most popular jazz standards.
Originally it was a 1946 French song, "Les Feuilles mortes", composed by Joseph Kosma, with lyrics by Jacques Prevert, used for the movie film "Les Portes De La Nuit", a drama set in post World War II Paris.
In 1949 Johnny Mercer wrote English lyrics for the tune changing the original French title to “Autumn Leaves.”
For my rendition, i've opted for a simple chord melody, useful for familiarize with style of execution.
